Deanna Gail Hopkins, 82 years old was born on May 21, 1941, and passed away on July 9, 2023.
Deanna was a genius. She has medals for her mind. She was a member of Mensa, Alumni of Phi Beta Kappa, and overseer of many other clubs. Deanna graduated with honors. She wanted to find a cure for cancer and play the piano professionally. I believe she would have excelled at both. She also helped our veterans.
Deanna wrote poetry and had her writings from her visit to the Wall published. Her writings can be read at http:/www. vietvet.org/dgs. htm. She raised three kids as a single mother. We always had a nice big house with a pool. She did whatever she had to do to make our childhood full of laughter and memories.
I loved listening to her about different things and stories. She was so generous, loving, and enjoyable to be around. She taught me so much. She is my best friend and will be missed.
Deanna leaves behind five children and 14 grandchildren. She will be interred with her husband James Michael Hopkins, A Nam Vet 1st (BRO) and 9th infantrymen at Arlington Cemetery.
